Top Shelf Advisors (TSA) acts as a personal investment advisor for your individual accounts which are held in the client's name at a third party broker-custodian. Only the client can make deposits and withdrawals in the account. TSA will invest the money as agreed upon and similar to how we invest our own accounts.
We are an entirely different type of investor than you will see in a typical large bank or other financial institution. We invest more like a hedge fund taking larger risks and hedging investments with financial instruments such as options and short positions if the accounts allow.
Travis is the founder and portfolio manager of Top Shelf Advisors. Travis has bachelor’s in economics from Hamline University and a master’s in computer science. He has held a wide range of positions from Engineer to Management. Travis has been successfully investing for over 20 years through the dot-com bubble, 2008 housing crisis, and the 2020 pandemic.
